Dr. Simon Pun, DDS is the owner and lead general dentist at Coventry Family Dental, dedicated to serving the Rhode Island community with comprehensive and personalized oral healthcare. Known for his warm demeanor and precise care, Dr. Pun provides general dentistry designed to keep your smile healthy and beautiful at every stage of life.
Dr. Pun earned his dental degree from the prestigious New York University College of Dentistry in 2020. While he spent the early part of his career treating patients in New York, love ultimately guided him to the Ocean State. After his Bostonian fiancée issued a playful yet firm ultimatum to move closer to New England, Dr. Pun packed his bags and officially relocated to Rhode Island in 2021. He spent his first several years in the state practicing as an associate dentist in Johnston before becoming lead dentist at Coventry Family Dental in 2026.
As a general dentist, Dr. Pun is passionate about creating a comfortable, anxiety-free experience for every patient. He combines his training with a patient-first philosophy, taking the time to listen to your unique goals and customize care to fit your lifestyle. Outside the dental office, Dr. Pun swaps his dental mirror for a chef's knife. As a self-proclaimed massive foodie, he spends his weekends scouting out local Rhode Island restaurants or conducting his own culinary experiments in the kitchen—patiently waiting for his fiancée to give his latest dishes a five-star review. To balance out all the taste-testing, you can find him out on local hiking trails, exploring his home state, and enjoying quality time with his loved ones.
