We know you have many choices when choosing a Dentist in Coventry, RI so we have made requesting an appointment a simple process via our Web site. If, for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, or will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible. We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Coventry Family Dental, LLC does not participate in Health Management Organizations; however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. We accept checks, cash or credit cards. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.

Dr. Dmitry Gelfand DDS

My name is Dmitry Zhukov Gelfand. I spent the first eighteen years of my life in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa, on the shore of the Black Sea. Odessa was and still in some ways remains a multi-ethnic theater of various European and Asian cultures that have left their deep traces in the city’s architecture, cuisine, literature, architecture, visual arts and the general outlook on life of the Odessites.

When I was eighteen, my family immigrated to the United States, and for over fifteen years I called New York City my home. I went to Brooklyn College and in 1997 graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry. In 2004 I purchased the long-established Coventry dental practice of Dr.Peter McLinn, who retired. 2024 marks twenty years since I became part of the greater Coventry community. Moving to an unknown area with a young family was a big step, but we never looked back, and Rhode Island is our one true home. We are now a family of four: my wife, Dr. Marija Zhukov is an anesthesiologist; our daughter Liza is graduating from Maine Maritime Academy in 2025, and our son George is a high school junior. Over the years we have adopted several cats from the Rhode Island SPCA and currently share our home with two sly thieves, Afonya and Bambina. I welcome you to our practice!

Hi, my name is Tiffany. I have been a dental hygienist for 19 years. I graduated from CCRI. I have been a part of Coventry Family Dental for 2 years, I love what I do! I am a mother of two beautiful children. In my spare time I enjoy skiing, camping, and spending time at the beach.

Office Manager

Hi, my name is Jennifer! I have worked with Dr.Gelfand since 2012. I began my dental career as a dental assistant, to a patient coordinator, and then a treatment coordinator. My current role is the Office Manager for the practice. I enjoy helping and interacting with all of our wonderful patients. I love to shop, dine out, and spend quality time with my family.

Hi! My name is Starr. I graduated from Merrimack College with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I’m currently taking a gap year to work alongside Dr. G with the goal of attending dental school and becoming a dentist. You’ll always see me around the office with a smile on my face! I love country music, singing, and most importantly, spending time with my family!

My name is Misty. My Dental Career began when I graduated dental school in 2013. I was hired right from internship. I worked in Dental Community Care for 3 years as a Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist. I then moved onto a private dental practice as Lead Certified Dental Assistant for 2 years. I started working for Dr.Gelfand in 2018 as his Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator.

Hi! I’m Bailey, I’m one of Dr. Gelfands assistants. I went to school at Lincoln Tech to become a dental assistant, and since finishing school I’ve been working here getting to know our patients! In my free time I’m chasing my toddler around and enjoying a coffee or 3!
